El-Santuario-Infrared_by_Jim_Peterson.jpg
El Santuario (Infrared). Located along what is called “the high road to Taos”, Chimayo, New Mexico is the home of the Catholic church officially known as El Santuario de Nuestro Señor de Esquipulas. It attracts many thousands of visitors each year, partly because it is so picturesque and partly because pilgrims believe that dirt from this chapel can heal many physical and spiritual ills. It is a National Historic Landmark representing the state’s rich Spanish Colonial heritage.
My infrared camera led me to this invisible view on a sunny fall afternoon.
