Not Too Far from Lybrook (Infrared). These towers are found (if you can find them) in a badlands area south of Highway 550 in northwestern New Mexico. Not Too Far from Lybrook (Infrared). These towers are found (if you can find them) in a badlands area south of Highway 550 in northwestern New Mexico. It’s one of many such areas, all different, in that part of the state, and on this May afternoon, the conditions were fine for infrared photography. Mother Nature was even accommodating enough to complete the scene by adding a touch of minimalist, wispy clouds to her otherwise clear sky. And my ever-faithful resident artistic digital elves were happy to help simulate the look of Kodak’s long-discontinued Aerochrome color infrared film.
