King of Wings, New Mexico. The northwest corner of this state (my home state) has a number of badlands wilderness areas, and I never get tired of visiting these unworldly places. There are many formations with sandstone wings, but this one tops them all. It’s not easy to get to, but for me the sunrise trek through this territory was well worth it!
