Comet NEOWISE over Sedona. Comet NEOWISE (short for Near Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, the space telescope that found it) was discovered back in March (2020). As of July 8, it has now rounded the sun and is putting on quite a show before dawn. Astrophotographers around the world are capturing great images of it, and our clear skies in rural Arizona make that a relatively easy task.
