NEOWISE Arises over Courthouse Butte. Here’s a sequence of 8 images showing our comet friend Mr. NEOWISE rising over one of our iconic Sedona red rock formations before dawn on July 9, 2020. His tail reached out, as if to test the waters, long before he poked his head above these sandstone cliffs in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest. This was one of the last few days that he was visible before sunrise, and he apparently wanted to make the most of it!
