My Back Yard Comet - with Big Dipper. I’ve been driving all over the Verde Valley for the last few weeks to capture this comet from different vantage points. However, we had a lot of monsoon clouds last night (July 22) after sunset, so I stayed home. But after I peeked out around 10PM and found that the clouds had mostly dissipated, my camera insisted on seeing some action. This is the result – comet NEOWISE settling down over my neighbor’s house and underneath the Big Dipper. Sedona, Arizona, and the Village of Oak Creek (where I live) are internationally recognized dark sky communities, and I’m happy to be able to take advantage of that!
