Blue-eyed_Darner_Lake_Mary_by_Jim_Peterson.jpg
Blue-eyed Darner, Lake Mary. Dragonflies (like many insects) are remarkably complex and adaptable creatures, and this variety can be found across a large swath of North America, from Canada to Panama. They love Arizona’s bodies of water and can be found throughout the state, including south of Flagstaff at Upper Lake Mary, where this one hovered briefly for a photo.<br />
