Carnivore. During a recent visit to Wilmington, NC, we visited a place the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else: The Carnivorous Garden. It’s dedicated to cultivating and exhibiting the many meat-eating plants that are found in the area – and they are fascinating! This one is a variety of pitcher plant, and if you were an insect, you’d be well advised to stay away from it. Bugs who fall into the lower part of it are not likely to be seen again; instead, they get digested and thereby provide essential nutrients to the plant.<br />
