Twelve-Spotted Skimmer. This large dragonfly is found in all 48 of the contiguous US states and also in southern Canada. In Arizona, they’re common anywhere there’s year-round water; this one (and its numerous buddies) was enjoying life at the Sedona Wetlands on a sunny summer day.
