Rendezvous with Benny Goodman! On Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, renowned clarinetist David Shifrin joined the Miro Quartet, one of America’s most celebrated string quartets, for a concert connecting the “King of Swing” with the greatest idols of the Classical era: Mozart and Beethoven. The program was delightfully eclectic, and the performances were exquisite.

As usual, I was there to photograph the proceedings for the organization (not to mention to enjoy another of their fine concerts!). Also as usual, the performers were quite photogenic, which I always appreciate as the organization’s official photographer.

Chamber Music Sedona enriches the culture of Sedona, the Verde Valley, and Northern Arizona by presenting outstanding music performed by the world’s finest musicians and by promoting a love of the performing arts through exceptional music education programs.
