Mission San Xavier del Bac (Infrared). La Misión de San Xavier del Bac was founded in 1692, but its original structures were destroyed by an Apache raid in 1770. The rebuilt church, south of the original and about 10 miles away from downtown Tucson, was completed in 1797 and is considered the finest example of Spanish mission architecture in the US. My infrared camera, never satisfied with the limited eyesight of mere humans, has boldly relocated it again, into an alternate universe of its own design.
