Comet NEOWISE from Jack’s Canyon. NEOWISE has been giving photographers a glorious show this month (July 2020), and it will likely last a few more days before the waxing moon’s light makes it more difficult to see. This image was captured over the Coconino National Forest on July 17 from the Jack’s Canyon trailhead, looking northeast towards Sedona, Arizona, whose city lights illuminate the lingering monsoon clouds. The iconic Courthouse Butte landmark is on the left, lit up by the lights of the Village of Oak Creek (where I live), and Lee Mountain is on the right.
