Farewell Tour! One of the foremost chamber music ensembles in the world, the Orion String Quartet is nearing the end of its final concert tour. The triumphs and accolades they have garnered are far too numerous to be listed here – but thanks to Chamber Music Sedona, we were fortunate enough to be on their itinerary yesterday (March 24, 2024) as they wrap up their illustrious 36-year run! They regaled us with – predictably – stellar performances of Schubert and Beethoven quartets and were enthusiastically received by a very affectionate audience.
As usual, I was there to photograph the proceedings for the organization (not to mention enjoy the work of these world class musicians!). Also as usual, the performers were quite photogenic, which I always appreciate as the organization’s official photographer. Here are some photos from the event that I captured for CMS.
Chamber Music Sedona enriches the culture of Sedona, the Verde Valley, and Northern Arizona by presenting outstanding music performed by the world’s finest musicians and by promoting a love of the performing arts through exceptional music education programs. I'm happy to provide photography pro bono for this fine nonprofit organization because I strongly support their mission. You are invited to see CMS’s concert schedule and to purchase tickets at https://chambermusicsedona.org/ .
