Invisible-Morning-at-Sycamore-Canyon-Infrared.jpg

Invisible Morning at Sycamore Canyon (Infrared). Although this is said to be the second largest canyon in Arizona, it is seen by far fewer people than the largest (which is, or course, the Grand Canyon). This image captures, with invisible light, the final stretch of Sycamore Canyon just before its creek empties into the Verde River. My infrared camera was totally captivated by the glow of the cottonwood foliage along the creek.
Tech info: Nikon D3200 camera (modified for infrared with 590nm filter), Nikon 18-140mm lens at 23mm, 1/125 sec. at f/11, ISO 100.
