Bedtime for Comet NEOWISE. Here’s another image from the evening of July 28, 2020, with our buddy Mr. NEOWISE getting ready to tuck himself under the covers in the Gunsight. Ursa Major (aka the Big Dipper) can be seen wishing him a good night from his perch over Seven Warriors Ridge. A half moon puts some nice light on our renowned Sedona red rocks, and it also lightens the sky quite a bit, thereby stealing some of NEOWISE’s thunder.
