Life-and-Death-at-Grand-Falls.jpg
Life and Death at Grand Falls. These shrubs, leafless during the winter, hang on for dear life at the base of the biggest waterfall in Arizona (it’s also sometimes called Chocolate Falls). Located on the Little Colorado River in the Navajo Nation northeast of Flagstaff, this waterfall is nearly dry most of the time, but can be quite spectacular during the spring snowmelt in higher elevations or after a wet storm moves through the area.
