Back Yard Verbena. It’s a matter of perspective, I guess. My wife calls these weeds; I call them wildflowers. But, whatever you call them, they brighten up our yard considerably here in Sedona during the spring, and I felt privileged to photograph them. They show evidence of a bit of nibbling on their tiny petals by some anonymous insects, but that just seems to give them a “beauty amid adversity” mystique.
