Rim-World-West-Fork-Infrared.jpg

Rim World, West Fork (Infrared) ©2017 James D Peterson. The West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon is one of the best places in Arizona to see autumn leaves. I went there a few days ago with a couple photographer friends to capture some fall color, and a fine time was had by all.
However, these days I always keep an infrared camera handy, and the West Fork is a fine place to unleash it. The canyon rim is a rugged, harsh, but beautiful ecological zone, and its denizens like to put on dramatic shows. I just happened to look up at the right moment to see these gallant trees paying tribute to an imposing cirrus cloud lingering overhead.
