Twists and Turns (Infrared). I pass this gnarly juniper each time I hike up or down the Templeton Trail switchbacks, and I’ve stopped to photograph it several times from different angles and under different conditions. This time, on a sunny morning, it beckoned me to capture it with bright sunlight sculpting its arboraceous undulations. My infrared camera was, as always, happy to be on call.
