Comet NEOWISE over Black Mountain, July 15, 2020. A late afternoon thunderstorm west of Sedona dissipated early enough to give us a good look at this celestial visitor as the sunset light faded. This image was from an overlook in the Coonino National Forest outside of Cornville, Arizona. Smoke from several wildfires in the region gives the lower sky a somewhat yellow, hazy look.
