Shooting in The Subway. The Sedona Subway, as this remote cave is called, is probably – to paraphrase Maxwell Smart – Sedona’s best-known secret hiking destination. It overlooks a side canyon off of the Boynton Canyon trail, and in December it was full of folks who were in on the not-very-secret, this couple included. They were grabbing a few camera phone shots, which by now are most likely out there in cyberspace chipping away even further at what’s left of the secret. But secret or not, it’s a lovely and unique side trip on one of Sedona’s premier hikes.
