The Face-Off. Hummingbirds are amazing and wonderful creatures in many ways, but one thing they’re not known for is good manners. Quite the opposite, in fact: when competing for food or nesting space, they tend to be very territorial and aggressive. These two came through Sedona during their fall migration southward. They were engaged in a fleeting and distinctly unfriendly squabble over who got to feed on these flowers; it happened so quickly that I didn't see who won.
