Gardens of Lybrook (Infrared). This remote badlands area is a few miles south of Lybrook, New Mexico – but it could just as credibly be on an alien planet on the far side of the galaxy. Wherever you happened to encounter it, however, it might look like this if you had infrared eyes.
Tech info: Nikon D800E camera (modified for full spectrum response and with 550nm infrared filter on lens), Nikon 28-300mm lens at 58mm, 1/400 sec. at f/11, ISO 250. The image was processed to approximate the look of Kodak’s long discontinued Aerochrome color infrared film.
